St Albans City Youth Under-18 North were overpowered by Omonia Green as they lost 4-1 in the Challenge Cup.

Carmine Chase got a consolation for the Saints.

However, there was better news for the Under-17 Wests as they thrashed Acorn Raiders 9-0. Josh Bean was in inspired form as he notched up five goals, while Elis Allan, James Merritt, Sam Waters-Rathjen and Lewis Cutmore completed the rout.

The Under-16 Orient comfortably beat Comet White Tigers 3-1 courtesy of an Oscar Hughes brace and a goal from Be Thomas Bolton. But the Under-16 West narrowly lost to Nascot Wood 2-1 despite a goal from the gifted Joe Galliford.

Croxley Green could not handle the attacking talents of the Under-15s South losing 8-2. Ben Gosling and Luis Danton played with verve scoring seven goals between while Ronan Marie Moutou scored the other.

City’s Under 15 North seemed to be in similarly inspired form as Hadley were blown away 5-0 thanks to a double from James McCallum, and goals from Olly Hann, Alfie Booth and Billy Cresswell.

St Albans’ Under-14s South produced a solid display as they edged Edmonton Rovers in a tight contest. Harrison Doyle and Joe Newton produced the goods in a tightly fought contest while the Under-14s West held their nerve in a goal fest beating Abbots Youth Blue 4-2. The prolific Matthew Nash was on the scoresheet along with Tom Keating and Kai Takahashi.

Meanwhile, the Under-13s Central side highlighted their superiority against West Herts coming out with a 3-0 win. Nathan Hossen, Conrad Holland and Fletcher Hedge provided the cutting edge to go along with their defensive discipline.

In the County Cup, the Under-12 Girls progressed through to the next round with goals from Katie Holder and Laura Guifford in a 2-1 win, but things did not fare so well for the Under 12 North team as they were outclassed by Garston Boys losing 2-0.

City’s Under-12s Central were humbled by Harpenden Colts Tornadoes 3-0 but there was better news for the Under-12s Orient as they overpowered Croxley Green 4-1. Ollie Gilmour produced a fine performance culminating in two goals, James Fontaine and Samuel Beasley also got onto the scoresheet.

The Under-s 11 South overcame their Northern counterparts in a thrilling contest. George Snippets, Cian Cribbin and Samuel Baker-Madic took the game away from the North despite a goal from Charlie Park.

St Albans Under-11s Central took part in an entertaining contest that ebbed and flowed but Lemsford Scorpions attacking impetus proved too much. Goals from Thomas Coulling, Daragh Gallagher, Massimo Lovane and Ben Wick proved in vain as they lost 7-4.

A brace from Ben Collinson and one from Alex Garcia was not enough for the Under-10 West against a powerful Wormley Youth Black’s team as they ran out 5-3 winners.

The Under-10 Girls played a game against Berkhamsted Girls and there were hat-tricks for Keria Ward and Katie Leigh, while Tatyana Barton notched up two goals.

The Under-9 West were ruthless against Whitewebb Eagles winning the game 8-2. Sam Mills was in devastating form scoring three goals, while Jonathan Harris and Cody Smith both scored two, Charlie Smith also got in on the act.

In the same league, the Under-9 Girls played Garston Ladies Diamonds with Jemima Avery scoring a double, Scarlett Lobina was in great form throughout the match and was duly given the man-of-the-match award.

City’s Under-8 North Boys played Wormley Red and there were goals from Antonio Desiderio, Finn Sculley, Sean Gallagher, Liam Reed, Adam Gardner and Sam Johnston.

The Under-8 Central played away to Berkhamsted Raiders Orange were Ethan Sieger scored and George Parker was named man-of-the-match.

St Albans Under-8s West visited Hemel Town with Billy Dunn and Jacob Nyamupingidza scoring for the Young Saints, Josh Ladyman was named man of the match. The Under-8 Arrows played Wheathamstead Wanderers Panthers away. Callum Howells, Leon Negus-Roman and man of the match Oscar Noble were all on target.

The Under-8 Saxons played Elite Feet Harpenden Harriers there were goals from Christian Harvey (3), Luca Callegari (2), Asa Stewart-Harris (2) and Ailbe Tidd. The Under-8 Girls were also in action against Garston Ladies Diamonds. Isla Evans and Evie Cussans both scored while Maisie Francis was named player of the match.
