Harpenden's Emily Hack finished fourth with a personal best in the Under-17 300m at the England Athletics National Championships at the weekend.

The St George’s School pupil clocked a time of 41.1 for fourth spot in the Sheffield race.

It continued Hack’s impressive form which saw her win gold at the South of England Athletics Champions in Lee Valley in January.

Hack, who started competing in cross country and athletics at the age of nine, is coached by Tim Higman and Jake Awe. She is currently ranked ninth in the country for the Under-17 300m.
