Harpenden suffered a four-wicket defeat at Sawbridgeworth in their Herts 20/20 Group B match on Sunday.

Sawbo batted first and scored a total of 156 for six from their innings. Guy Watts picked up two for 40 and there was one wicket apiece for Scott Galloway and Ben Frazer.

But Harpenden misfired with the bat and were skittled out for 93 in 16.2 overs.

Frazer hit 11 which was matched by Jake Pankhurst. Galloway fared best hitting 42 but the rest of the side failed to contribute and Harpenden fell to defeat.

Herts Premier Division leaders Harpenden were frustrated as they could not play due to the rain for the second weekend in a row.

Following last week’s cancelled match against Radlett, Harpenden were unable to start their match on Saturday against Bishop’s Stortford.

London Colney’s Division Five A match against West Herts Seconds was another victim of the weather.

West Herts were dismissed for 168 from 52.2 overs but Colney did not get a chance to bat due to the rain.
