St Albans Hockey Club’s Hannah Macleod struck gold with the Great Britain women’s hockey team in Valencia beating China 2-0 in the World League competition final on Sunday.
Macleod was in the starting XI for all GB’s games including the 1-0 victory over Germany on Saturday.
The GB team emerged with seven consecutive wins and six clean sheets and have qualified for Rio 2016 as a result.
St Albans’ Andy Halliday is on duty as manager of the GB men at Antwerp while head goalkeeping coach John Hurst continues in his role as manager of the GB women’s team.
