Two Harpenden teams have reached the St Albans & District finals
Two Harpenden teams have reached the St Albans and district finals at Potters Bar on September 5.
Kevin Brazier, Tony Redford and Tom Muir beat Welwyn & District 21-15 in the semi-final of the men’s triples. While Noel Roberts and reserve Doug Rodger beat another Harpenden pair, David Brooks and Kevin Brazier 19-14 in the semi-final of the pairs.
In the district league against Kings Langley, the ladies won 38-30. Both rinks won and the top selection was Wendy Cruickshank, Maureen Squires, Mary Fisher and Lyn Roberts. The following day they played another district league game against St Albans but lost 62-48.
Harpenden hosted the 41 Club on Wednesday in a well supported Bowls and Fish and Chips evening.
