London Colney extended their unbeaten league record to 32 games after drawing 2-2 at Hertford Town in the South Midlands Premier Division on Saturday.

The Blueboys started well and were rewarded with the opening goal after 17 minutes. Spencer Clarke-Mardel slipped the ball through to Lee Armitt and he fired a low shot under goalkeeper Harry Ricketts.

But the hosts were awarded a penalty when Sam Doolan brought down Darren Williams just inside the box. Louis Rose converted the spot-kick to level the contest.

The visitors regained the lead in the second half when James Ewington drilled a low shot past Ricketts.

London Colney stayed in front until the 84th minute when Elliott King managed to bundle the ball home.

The hosts should have won it late on from the penalty spot but Rose’s effort was saved by May to extend their unbeaten run.

London Colney travel to ninth-placed Wembley this weekend.
