London Colney sent a strong team out for their reserves' 5-1 win at Cockfosters on Saturday.
The match was only three minutes old when the Blueboys opened the scoring through James Ewington's header.
But the lead was only shortlived with the hosts equalising through Paul Banks.
The Blueboys regained the lead when Greg Shaw released Lee Armitt and he chipped the ball over goalkeeper James Cattlin.
It was 3-1 when Ewington fired a fierce strike into the net. Colney continued to dominate the match and extended their lead when Greg Shaw buried a header from six yards out.
The fifth goal for the Blueboys came when Ewington dribbled with the ball and fired a low finish in to seal the win.
The team host Hertford Town in the Premier Division Cup tonight before travelling to Broxbourne Borough on Saturday in the league.
London Colney Blues Reserves won 4-3 against Hunton Bridge with two goals from Jason Corley and one apiece from Alex Journet and Riah Smith.
