Colney Heath draw with Douthwaite

Colney Heath drew 1-1 with 18th Douthwaite in their closely-fought contest.

Anthony Graham put Colney ahead before Harry Dean equalised for 18th. James Stevenson was the pick of the side for Colney Heath while Andre Raath stood out of the opponents.

The 9th thrashed Colney Heath 10-0 after four goals from Finbar King.

The game started at a fast pace with good chances at both ends, with the only thing keeping the game at a stalemate being the keepers. The deadlock was broken after ten minutes with a good team goal from the 9th.

From then on it was a barrage of pressure on the Colney Heath goal. This eventually led to a flurry of goals with a hat-trick by man-of-the-match James Newby-Ricci. Other goals came from James Lofts, Louis Baker-Madec and an own goal.

In a very entertaining game, the 16th returned to winning ways as they picked up a 5-2 victory over the 17th.

Two well-taken goals from the outstanding William Robinson inside the first ten minutes set them on their way. The 17th, not to be outdone, were awarded a penalty in the 11th minute following a hand ball.

Billy Andrews netted the kick into the roof of the net giving William Brown no chance. The 16th restored their two goal lead a minute later when Oliver Joiner finished neatly from just inside the box.

The 17th continued to attack but the 16th defence, in particular the excellent William Kerslake, held strong.

Just before half-time, the 16th added to their lead as Robinson broke free and slotted the ball home neatly to complete an excellent hat-trick. The second half was more evenly fought with Benjamin Robinson scoring for the 16th and Andrews replying for the 17th.
