Happy Harry to run the rule over fringe players

SPURS manager Harry Redknapp will assess some of his squad players when his side travels to Holland to face NEC Nijmegen on Thursday night.

Teenage sensation John Bostock will be on the bench while young Welsh full back Chris Gunter will definitely start with Vedran Corluka cup-tied and Alan Hutton injured.

Centre-back Michael Dawson will also play alongside Jonathan Woodgate with Ledley Kig set to be rested.

Midfielders Kevin-Prince Boateng and Hossam Ghaly and defenders Paul Stalteri and Ricardo Rocha are not registered for the Uefa Cup after previous manager Juande Ramos banished them all from the first team squad, a decision Redknapp has been left ruing as he wants to see them all in action.

However Brazilian Gilberto could feature although he appears to be up against Jamie O'Hara and Gareth Bale for the left midfield slot. Frasier Campbell will partner Darren Bent.

Possible XI: Gomes, Gunter, Dawson, Woodgate, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Huddlestone, Jenas, O'Hara, Campbell, Bent.
