Jonathan Woodgate says Tottenham can think about qualifying for Europe after climbing into mid-table.

Spurs climbed up to 11th on Sunday following their impressive win at Aston Villa, and are now just five points off seventh spot - currently occupied by West Ham.

West Ham are due at White Hart Lane next month and with Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton likely to make up the F.A Cup semi-final line-up, seventh spot will be enough for UEFA cup qualification.

Woodgate, who has formed a formidable partnership with Ledley King, said: "Winning at Aston Villa was a big result for us. Now I would rather be optimistic rather than pessimistic.

"I'd rather look up than down, try to win as many games as we can.

"We are on a good run. Europe? We have a chance but let's not get carried away.

"We have got a lot of work to do still, a lot of teams to play around us as well, so hopefully we can get involved in it.

"But that win allows us to look forward to Chelsea on Saturday at White Hart Lane, where, we believe we can beat anyone."
