A cake-maker has combined chocolate and shoes to make the ideal edible mother's day present.
Frances Cooley, 47, has created a range of high heels made entirely from chocolate, after finding a shoe-shaped mould in Belgium.
The chocolatier, who runs Clifton Cakes in Bristol, said: "The shoes bring together the two things that women love - chocolate and high heeled shoes. I always tell people buying them that they can fill them with champagne, drink the champagne, then eat the shoe."
"That way, mums can be really decadent"
At £25.25 the shoes are selling well, along with her other creation, chocolate handbags.
The heels have proved especially popular with "panicky children" desperate for an unusual mother's day gift, she joked.
The mother of two is currently mailing out between five and 15 gift packs a day, each containing a selection of her creations.
The largest shoe in the range is 17 centimetres long and made from two 100g bars of Belgian chocolate.
The footwear is decorated with a pattern and a message can be written on an edible chocolate label.
Mrs Cooley, has learned her trade around the word and now runs her business from home.
