After the mandatory slug of strong coffee, my now wakeful mind has entered an ecstatic state of hope and anticipation for the day ahead...
Will to-day be the day all the junk in my house automatically disappears and I am left with at least a bedroom to call my own?
Will to-day be the day Gordon Brown resigns and we get a decent government in place? In fact will today be the day there is a decent government to put in place?
Will to-day be the day the oozing bins are emptied at last?
Will to-day be the day all the spring flowers come out and smile at us, whilst blowing in the breeze?
Will to-day be the day there is no whinging in our house about being shown violence and photos of sexual diseases at school?
Will to-day be the day everyone smiles and says hello to each other in the street?
Will to-day be the day the cat stops whining for more breakfast a few minutes after turning it down?
Will to-day be the day I get the call with that amazing job?
Yes, where there’s life there’s hope and it pays to dream
