A HUG can really make your day. A seemingly small gesture with a big impact.
The subject for this week’s blog was inspired by one of my daughters. She demanded a hug and at first I was concerned. Was there something wrong? She quickly reassured me saying did there need to be something wrong to have a hug, and she just hadn’t had one that day. Her generation hug all the time. It's lovely. Lots of people moan about teenagers but this generation have got the hug thing right.
Hugs. Even the word is warm and friendly. Not as intimate as a kiss so easier to give and to receive. No need for words. Fantastic feel good factor, both for the giver and receiver. Free as well – no budget needed. Inner glow guaranteed.
The best things in life really are free and the wonderful HUG is one of them. A hug can really make your day. A seemingly small gesture with a big impact. So get out there and if you can’t get one, give one. Happy Hug Day!
