See I love films, in an age where the need for escapism is growing it's scandalous how far all cinemas can push the prices upwards. Ok, I accept there's Orange Wednesdays (which I use quite often) but even in this special offer of half price there are three faults with this. Firstly, who really wants to go out on a Wednesday night? Secondly, not everyone is or knows enough people who are on Orange. Thirdly, the price of popcorn and a drink is ridiculously high! (Alright, this one is a little bit greedy) I'm one of these people who almost needs to have popcorn and a drink to fully basque in the 'cinema experience', and if I want to do this it's going to cost me just under the price of the tickets. This is just wrong. It seems that for full enjoyment and refreshment I'll need to pay about £12-15 (depending on what day it is)

In these times of financial...oh you know the rest...

The 1930's brought revolutionary films such as Dracula, King Kong, the Wizard of Oz etc. Partially due to the developments in sound, but also because producers survived the depression through the allure of escapism. I fear The Unborn is no Dracula or Frankenstein (if you like a farfetched, mythical, poorly acted film which randomly shoves in a few "jumpy" moments and unnecessary insects to scare you, oh and Nazis to boot...that's right, then this is your film.) I sincerely hope the 2010's will bring far better films than it's preceding decade. Although I did rather enjoy Slumdog Millionaire...
