Chunky chips or fries?
BEST Solicitors LLP were proud sponsors of the Food & Drink and Restaurant category of the Herts Retailer of the Year awards 2010.
Luke and I put on our best attire and had a wonderful evening presented by the charming Editor of the Review, Martin Buhagiar.
As a resident of St Albans, I am familiar with all of the nominees. It’s marvelous to have such a fine array of retailers who are absolutely dedicated to their specialism. I would find it difficult to choose a winner. I was delighted to see Lussmanns secure restaurant of the year but also sad to see Bar Espresso miss out. Lussmanns is lovely in the evening for a romantic meal and family friendly during the daytime for lunch out with the kids. Bar Espresso do a delicious Penne Arrabbiata (spiced to order!) and is great for lunch mixing with entrepreneurs. Barrissimo is a real treat, Thai Square always hits the spice spot and The Peahen is my hangout on Friday night with the girls. You see how hard it is!
At the end of the evening I had an interesting debate with Lussmanns about chips. I prefer chunky chips and therefore, I am pleased to shout about chunky chips Friday at the restaurant, yeah!
Most parents will join me in congratulating Pots of Art for winning specialty shop of the year. Such a wonderful and fun place to take the children for those memorable hand/foots print plates.
