I’m Ross Lambert; a 21 year old English Literature and Journalism student from the University of Hertfordshire. I hail from Lowestoft, a small town 25miles south of Norwich and interestingly the most easterly point in the UK. When I’m not studying for my degree, I enjoy kicking back with my friends (which does not always involve alcohol like a stereotypical student…but sometimes!), playing or watching most sports, but mainly football (Gooner!), watching films, reading books, keeping up with the news as well as listening to music and going to live gigs.
As the summer months draw to an end I find myself reflecting on what I have done in the past three months. A lot has been done, but do my achievements reflect this?
As my world appears to be rapidly changing I increasingly ask myself, 'Where do I belong?', 'What is my in society?'
A few weeks ago four other students and I were invited to take part in an exciting project involving the University of Hertfordshire and the Welwyn Hatfield Review. As part of the project we were asked to contribute this blog. I remember walking out of this meeting discussing this project with my fellow students; we were all excited about the prospects it could bring.
