A vegan market serving food and drinks as well as ethical clothing and jewellery is coming back to St Albans with everything from cheese to fried ‘chickhun’.

The St Albans Vegan Market will take over St Peter’s Street, in the heart of town.

The event will feature up to 60 stalls including a variety of vegan street food, artisan bakes, craft cheeses, handmade cosmetics, ethical clothing & jewellery, arts and crafts and charity stalls - all created by a selection of ethical and sustainable businesses.

Lewis Beresford, VMCO’s founder says: “We are so excited to be back in St Albans. We work hard to find the country’s leading vegan producers, from street food vendors and bakers to ethical clothing and cosmetic producers.

“We also work with many local businesses and can’t wait to give all of these fantastic producers the platform they deserve and introduce them to the wonderful people of St Albans!”

The St Albans Vegan Market will be held in on St Peter’s Street and will run from 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday July 4.

Vegan Market Co’s first event was in 2016 and has quickly grown to cover over 40 locations across the UK.

They are also tackling the climate crisis by promoting sustainable lifestyle choices with their events and supporting tree planting and conservation projects around the world.

In addition to offsetting the carbon footprint from each event, they also plant a tree for every business that takes part.
