European Union Chamber Orchestra

The EUCO gave its first concerts in 1981 and soon gained an international reputation as a musical ambassador for the European Union. Funding from the European Commission enabled its name to become familiar worldwide with tours to East Asia, India, North, South and Central America, North Africa and the Middle East as well as all across Europe. It regularly performs in major concert halls throughout the UK and has broadcast several times live on BBC Radio 3.

Sinatra, Sequins and Swing

Get set for a spectacular swing extravaganza. Wowing audiences for over six years, the show relives the iconic hits, 50s Hollywood glamour and vocal majesty of Sinatra’s sensational Capitol Records years of 1953-61 with plenty of fun in between. Featuring all the greatest hits, including Lady Is A Tramp, Come Fly With Me and Fever, recreations of Sinatra’s famous movie song scenes, a vocally mesmerising Marilyn Monroe and Sinatra’s stunning Capitol stablemate Peggy Lee.

Rangeela

Rangeela, the biggest student-run variety show in London, is returning in 2019 for their biggest, most colourful display to date. March of the Penguins (U)

Getting ready for awards season with a screening of this Oscar-winning classic documentary that was one of the first to open our eyes to the journey of emperor penguins. Emperor penguins overcome daunting obstacles in order to return to get home for mating season. This tells the story of one year in the life of a flock – focusing on one couple in particular – as they trek across the Antarctic on an annual journey that invokes just about every major life experience: from birth to death, from dating to mating, from comedy to tragedy, and from love to fighting for survival. With a special introduction from Will McCallum this is a timely reminder that there is still much work to be done to protect this majestic species. Adults can only watch this screening if they’re bringing a child.

Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams
