A group of skilled musicians will host a concert this summer to celebrate reaching the finals in a music competition.
The Rickmansworth Young Musician of the Year Award Feast will be held on Saturday, July 6, at 7pm in the Baptist Church, Rickmansworth and will feature eight musicians.
The hopefuls, all aged between 13-18 years, have musical grades of eight or higher in a selection of instruments including the harp, saxophone and cello.
This year’s music feast will feature pianists, violinists, cellists and the recorder.
The competition, which is now in its 36th year, has seen participants go on to win awards such as the BBC Young Musician of the Year.
The winner of the competition will take home £400 and will perform as a soloist with the Chorleywood Orchestra.
