The first Summer Sounds @ intu Watford with Vibe 107.6 FM music event was a huge success – so much so that it’s going to be a monthly feature at the centre.

Working with West Herts College, the council and Vibe 107.6 FM, the collaboration has been created to give local entertainers a platform to perform to the community and showcase their talent.

The trial event took place in intu Watford’s new outdoor atrium over the bank holiday weekend, and shoppers came in their droves to soak up the atmosphere and get into the summer spirit.

Crowds gathered to watch, listen to and celebrate the incredible local music talent that performed at the event. Performers including Romeo English, synth-pop singer-songwriter and guitarist Lydia Maddix, and two-piece indie folk duo Oceanback and more.

St Albans & Harpenden Review:

Leigh Brooks, marketing manager at intu Watford, said: “This was such a great event and we can’t wait to host more live music sessions. The atrium is the perfect space for creating compelling experiences that leave our shoppers full of smiles and a feelgood factor. Throughout the day hundreds of families came together to watch, listen and dance to the great mix of music, which created a wonderful shopping experience at intu Watford. We’re excited to announce that Summer Sounds will continue through the hotter season.”
