A festival celebrating local talent is coming to Watford next weekend.

Three years ago, The Pump House Theatre spotted that there were not enough opportunities to show off amazing local talent, so they started the Watford Fringe. The festival has gone from strength to strength and this year there will be over 60 acts in 11 venues spaces across Watford town centre, on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13.

Forming part of the Cultural Strategy for Watford, The Pump House have established themselves as the hub for emerging talent and the WatFringe is an essential part of that process. For the WatFringe they are opening up their three spaces, but they have also teamed up with Watford Museum, Watford Palace Theatre, The One Crown, The LP Café, The Hidden Bar and The D20 Board Game Café. These fantastic spaces will provide a real Fringe atmosphere.

No Fringe would be complete without an amazing line-up. There are several award-winning five star reviewed plays fresh from Edinburgh, Brighton and Camden Fringe Festivals, musical plays, comedians, jazz, folk, indie music, rock music, musical theatre, belly dancing, workshops, henna, an orchestra, poetry, musicians, children’s acts, magicians, art, Khatak dancing, choirs, DJs, new writing and much more. There will also be food, drink and a warm welcome.

The Festival is run 90% by dedicated volunteers.
