Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake is one of the world's best loved classical ballets and now the highly acclaimed Vienna Festival Ballet company are bringing the show to the Radlett Centre.
The story follows Prince Siegfried, who whilst out hunting meets with a flock of swans. The swans are led by a Queen Swan, who is under the spell of the evil magician Baron Rothbart. The prince falls in love with the Queen Swan and attempts to free them all. However, the magician has several tricks up his sleeve that threaten to destroy their happy ever after.
Vienna Festival Ballet's previous productions include The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and they aim to make great classical ballets accessible to all across the country.
Their latest production of Swan Lake will see specially designed, glamorous costumes and beautiful sets, which add colour and enhance the choreography.
