St Albans City Youth Community FC has raised £6,000 in just one month as part of the Grow Your Tenner Campaign.
The Football Club provides training and organised sport for both able and disabled young boys and girls in the community, running more than 50 football teams benefiting over 700 young players including teams in local special needs schools.
Money raised through Localgiving.com’s Grow Your Tenner match fund will go towards helping the club’s touring teams.
David Wray, St Albans City youth in the community trustee, said: "The extra tenners will mean that children who cannot otherwise afford to go away on tour can now attend "Grow Your Tenner is brilliant as it encourages new donors to come forward and support us. Some supporters think this offer is too good to be true!"
