A Harpenden church is delighted to welcome a new vicar into its community next week.
St John’s Church have announced that Canon Nicholas Anderson will become the new vicar on Monday, February 24 at 7.30pm.
The Institution will be led by the Bishop of St Albans, The Rt Revd Alan Smith and the Installation and Induction by the Archdeacon of St Albans, The Ven Jonathan Smith.
Mr Anderson joins the church from his previous parish at St Ann, Rainhill, in the Diocese of Liverpool where he was the incumbent of the parish for the previous 10 years. He was also Chair of the House of Clergy.
He said: "I am delighted to be here and looking forward to working alongside the parishioners and feel sure my family and I will be very happy here."
Mr Anderson brings his wife, Anneke, and his younger son, Iain, to the vicarage while his elder son Gary and his family live in Sydney.
After the service residents are invited to enjoy refreshments in the Church Hall.
