I’m a granny now! I’ve joined the club! My daughter’s little girl Ellie is seventeen months and  what a gorgeous but spirited and strong willed girl she is ! And she‘s not even a “terrible” two yet. She’s also very active, like her dad, whereas her mum, my daughter, was happy sitting on my lap looking and books all day long, if she could!
As she’s not local I try and spend a day or two with her when I can, but there is one influence I can have on her, besides skyping .  I’m talking of prayer.
Now “Come on “, you say to me, “What good does a few words said in the quiet of your home in St.Albans do for a little girl in Nottingham?”  Well, that depends on whether you actually think prayer “works”. I think all of us pray to God when we are desperate......so if we believe he is the ultimate source of help, why can’t we talk to him about everything?
I believe that God can hear my requests even for Ellie’s future .He is outside of time.   I can see that a strong willed child could either be a leader for good in society, or be the arch rebel.  In fact I can visualise increasing pressures on all parents regarding  social media and the internet.    So I pray !
Prayer, if you believe in it, is amazing! Try it!
