The following were convicted of watching a colour television without a licence (fine plus costs in brackets; those marked * were dealt with in their absence): *Janet Johnson, 50, of Chalkdell Fields, St Albans (£560); Sarah Kerr, 45, of House Lane, St Albans (£395).
