Firefighters were called to a small car fire in St Albans on Saturday.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue were called at 9.08am after reports that a car was on fire in Lye Lane.
But when firefighters arrived, the fire was already out.
Andrew Dawson, spokesman for Hertfordshire County Council said: “It looks like, by the time we arrived, there was not much we could do.”
One crew from Garston Fire attended. The fire is being treated as accidental.
