Members of the British Military Fitness in St Albans have raised £2,000 for the Poppy Appeal.
To mark Remembrance Day and to raise money for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal, BMF instructors gave their members the chance to host the session and ‘train the trainers’.
BMF members, who train at Verulamium Park in St Albans, put the instructors through their paces with a variety of exercises such as burpees, squats, relay races and press-ups.
Matthew Moine, BMF Instructor at Verulamium Park, said: "As most of our instructors have either served in the military or are still serving, Remembrance Day is an event that is firmly implanted in our hearts and minds.
"We wanted to help raise money and awareness for the Poppy Appeal by allowing our members to turn the tables on us and let them train the trainer. Some of our members have been working hard with BMF for years, so were chomping at the bit for the chance to take control."
RBL created the Poppy Appeal to help those returning from the First World War. A century on from the start of that conflict, they still help today's Armed Forces families in much the same way, whether coping with bereavement, living with disability, or finding employment.
