A shop in St Albans raised more than £800 for volunteers who respond to emergency calls.
Boots in St Peter's Street hosted a two day event to raise money the the Community First Responders, who are volunteers trained by the Ambulance Service to respond to life threatening emergency calls.
A CFR is dispatched by ambulance control to any incident in the area to provide immediate care and provide vital support prior to the arrival of the Ambulance service.
Boots and the team from Elizabeth Arden, headed by Wendy Seabrook, involving performing makeovers plus an evening demonstration giving advice on makeup and skin care
The volunteers use their own cars, time & money to cover a ‘pin’ area that they can respond to within eight minutes, any additional equipment comes from Fundraising and the kit they use cost around £1,400.
