The temporary overflow car park has been resurfaced to create 62 permanent spaces.
The work was carried out at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre by St Albans City Council and was completed on Friday, July 17.
Councillor Brian Ellis, responsible for housing at the council, said: "I am glad to report that the work was finished as planned, in time for the summer holidays.
"This is when usage of the leisure centre and the adjoining Verulamium Park are at their peak."
