A woman from St Albans crashed her car into a house yesterday.
The woman, of Richard Stagg Close was parking her car in the driveway when she accidentally put her foot on the accelerator and drove into the front of the house.
There was structural damaged caused to the inside and outside of the house.
Firefighters from St Albans fire station attended the scene. No one was injured but they treated the woman for shock.
Watch commander Lee Watson said: "There was no signs of imminent collapse so we deemed the property safe until the structural engineer got there.
"Volunteers from Red Cross were also there to advise the family on what to do."
