An independent fish restaurant in St Albans is celebrating triple awards success.
Lussmanns Fish & Grill, the independent group with restaurants in St Albans, Hertford and Harpenden, received three awards during October.
On October 5, Lussmanns St Albans was voted and judged Best Local restaurant at the St Albans and Harpenden Food and Drink Awards 2015.
The food and drink awards are decided after a lengthy process involving initial nominations, shortlisting, a public vote and a judging session.
Winning this category for the fourth time, following success in 2010, 2012 and 2014 has made 2015 another record-breaking year for the restaurant group.
The Lussmanns team enjoyed another celebration on October 18, when Lussmanns St Albans was named runners-up in three categories of the 12th annual Observer Food Monthly Awards 2015.
The independent brasserie was selected in the ‘Best restaurant’, ‘Best Cheap Eats’ and ‘Best Ethical Restaurant’ categories of the awards, representing readers’ choices for their ideal place to eat, their money-saving favourite for a meal under £15 and the most sustainable, environmentally friendly and charitable eateries.
To wrap up a very successful awards season, on Monday, October 26, owner Andrei Lussmann attended the Eat Out Awards ceremony in the City of London, where Lussmanns won ‘Best Adoption of Sustainability’.
Owner Andrei Lussmann said: “I am humbled and delighted by these awards. Great staff, terrific customers and a desire to keep it real helps Lussmanns retain its enduring appeal, keeping sustainable dining on point.”
