The next steps towards a new secondary school in Harpenden will be discussed at a meeting organised by parents later this month.
The site for a much-needed secondary school in Harpenden was secured in January, and Hertfordshire County Council, the Education Funding Authority and the Harpenden Secondary Education Trust are currently working on how to achieve planning permission for the development.
A question and answer evening has been organised by Harpenden Parents Group on Monday, February 22.
This will be an opportunity for parents to find out about the vision of the new school, the planning process and how parents can get involved.
Speakers during the evening will include Harpenden Secondary School headteachers Philip Waters and Tony Smith, Hertfordshire County Councillor Teresa Heritage and county council officer Andrew Simmons.
People attending are asked to bring along their questions for the speakers.
The meeting will be held at Roundwood Park School, in the main hall, and will begin at 7.30pm.
