A council bin man has been hit by a van in London Colney.
Hertfordshire Constabulary was contacted by the ambulance service to attend the incident in Goldring Way at 10.50am today.
Hertfordshire Constabulary spokeswoman Sarah Spence-Miller, said the man was injured after being hit by a white Volkswagon van.
She added: “It seems to be that this man got out of the refuse lorry and the other vehicle collided with him.”
Jake Asby, spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service, said the man was in his 40s and was taken to Watford General Hospital after being treated at the scene.
Ambulance reports state the man was conscious and breathing.
