A hairdressers in Mill End raised more than £2,000 for a child battling a rare form of cancer.
Katie Ellis and her team at The Barber Room, Moneyhill Parade, cut customer’s hair for free on Saturday, May 28, and raised £2,014 for Ossie Boy’s Fund.
Ossie Robinson was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare cancer which usually originates in the abdomen, in July 2013.
The family may have to travel to America for new clinical trials if the NHS does not make any available.
Ms Ellis told the Watford Observer: “It was great fun. We had a face painter and a DJ and all of the proceeds went to the Ossie Boy’s Fund.
“It is so important we do things like this because it saves lives.
“It was very emotional. I am proud of the work we did as a team to raise the money."
