The following cases were heard before magistrates between August 19 and 25.

Monday, August 22

Kevin Harry William Smith, 53, of Park Street, Watling Street, St Albans. On August 16, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 117 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Disqualified from driving for 28 months. Fine, costs: £315.

Aaron Michael Lee Beeson, 26, of Folly Avenue, St Albans. On March 25, 2016, used a vehicle when the proportion of a controlled drug in his blood exceeded the specified limit. Two counts. Disqualified from driving for 14 months. Fine, costs: £380.

Tuesday, August 23

Paddy Miller, 19, of Shottfield Close, St Albans. On August 4, 2016, had in his possession a quantity of cannabis. Fine, costs: £235.

Alexander John Wallace, 26, of Palfrey Close, St Albans. On June 12, 2016, had in his possession a quantity of MDMA. Fine, costs: £591.

Thursday, August 25

Jonathan Michael Pearse, 30, of Holywell Hill, St Albans. On June 21, 2016, pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a person. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 60 hours within the next 12 months. Restraining order made. Costs: £170.

Jake Lee Clay, 20, of Perrycoste Court, St Albans. On August 7, 2016, damaged the windscreen and sun visor of a vehicle. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Compensation, costs: £445.

Carmine Del Core, 50, of Wilshere Avenue, St Albans. On December 1, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 50mph. Fine, costs: £613. Four penalty points.
