A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in St Albans yesterday morning.
Police were called to a flat in Townsend Avenue at 12.13am to reports of a disturbance.
Officers attended and a man, who is 45-years-old, was found to have been stabbed a number of times.
He was taken to hospital where he remains at this time in a serious condition.
A second man who was at the address was arrested.
In the early hours of this morning Craig Sutherland, who is 39 years old and from Townsend Avenue in St Albans, was charged with attempted murder. He appeared before Hatfield Remand Court this morning and was remanded into custody. He will next appear at St Albans Crown Court on October 14.
