Pumpkin Festival

Every year 18,000 tonnes of pumpkins are thrown away, that is the same weight as 1,500 double decker buses. The #PumpkinRescue stall at St Albans market will be on hand on Saturday with free pumpkin soup, recipes and games. The Mayor of the City and District of St Albans will be coming along at 11am to help launch A Week Without Food Waste – a Community Food Waste Challenge.
