Monday, October 31

Christopher Joseph Brady, 24, of Cagepond Road, Shenley, Radlett. On October 28, 2016, had in his possession one joint of cannabis. Commission of a further offence whilst subject to conditional discharge order. Fine, costs: £80.

Craig John Sutherland, 39, of Townsend Avenue, St Albans. On April 11, 2016, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. On April 10, 2016, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour and the offence was racially aggravated. On April 25, 2016, stole champagne belonging to Tesco. On May 23, 2016, damaged a cell belonging to Hertfordshire Constabulary. Committed to prison. Overall length of sentence 10 weeks. Compensation: £741.

Tuesday, November 1

David Jones, 26, of Cotlandswick, London Colney, St Albans. On July 22, 2016, had in his possession one wrap of cannabis. Discharged conditionally for six months. Costs: £30.

Chris Liam Cairncross, 28, of Grovenor Road, St Albans. On September 18, 2016, sent a message which he knew to be false for the purpose of causing annoyance or needless anxiety to another. Commission of a further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge order. Community order made. Fine, costs: £220.

Daniel Edward James Thomas, 23, of Sleaphyde Lane, Smallford, St Albans. On September 9, 2016, damaged garden furniture. Two counts. On same date, had in his possession a small bag of cannabis; used a vehicle without a licence. On September 10, 2016, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. Nicholas John Tunstall, 42, of Noke Shot, Harpenden. On September 6, 2016, being the owner of a vehicle and having changed his address failed to enter his new address in a registration document. Two counts. Fine, costs: £195.

Amer Iqbal, 23, of Abbots Avenue West, St Albans. On October 15, 2016, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause alarm or distress. Fine, compensation, costs: £285.

Bernard Floyd Ferdinand, 54, of Marlborough Road, St Albans. On July 30, 2016, assaulted a person by beating her. On July 28, 2016, damaged the windscreen of a vehicle. Restraining order made. Fine, compensation, costs: £495.

Alexander Ian Lance Mumford, 29, of Martin House, St Albans. On May 20, 2016, assaulted a person by beating her. On same date, committed fraud by false representation; stole a bank card. On May 21, 2016, had with him in a public place a lock knife. Fine, costs: £350.

Thomas Anthony Charles Boylan Johnson, 24, of Doggetts Way, St Albans. On April 6, 2016, used a vehicle without insurance. On same date, used a vehicle without a valid test certificate. Fine, costs: £1,031. Eight penalty points.

Matthew Durant, 35, of Wingate Way, St Albans. On October 31, 2016, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 85 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Kiran Naqvi, 33, of Cotlandswick, London Colney, St Albans. On January 15, 2015, dishonestly made a false statement to the Department for Work and Pensions with a view to obtaining Housing Benefit. Between October 7, 2013, and January 10, 2016, dishonestly failed to notify St Albans City and District Council of a change of circumstances which he knew would affect his entitlement to Housing Benefit. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 160 hours within the next 12 months. Costs: £170.
