On same date, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour and the offence was racially aggravated; stole one kitchen knife belonging to Middletons Steak House Restaurant; had with him in public a kitchen knife. Conviction of an offence while a community order was in force. Committed to prison. Overall length of sentence 27 weeks. Compensation, costs: £293.40.

Monday, April 17

Damon Iacovone, 27, of High Oaks, St Albans. On April 15, 2017, assaulted a police constable in the execution of his duty. Fine, compensation, costs: £335.

Tuesday, April 18

Laura Spinks, 44, of Westfields, St Albans. On March 27, 2017, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Disqualified from driving for 14 months. Fine, costs: £195.

Debbie Lavelle, 50, of Hill End Lane, St Albans. On June 21, 2012, dishonestly made a statement to St Albans Council which was false with a view to obtaining Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 80 hours within the next 12 months. Costs: £170.

Jamie Robert Colin Wilding, 27, of Pickford Hill, Harpenden. On October 24, 2016, assaulted a person by beating her. Two counts. Fine, compensation, costs: £1,283.
