A NURSERY which was told it needed to improve is celebrating a 'good' rating.
Busy Bees Day Nursery, at Rothamsted Lodge, in Harpenden, was upgraded after an Ofsted inspection.
Last year, it was labelled as a nursery which 'requires improvement' but in the last year, it has worked tirelessly to rid itself of that ranking.
Nursery manager Sara Mufundisi said: "We’re really pleased to have received this positive report from Ofsted.
"We will now continue our mission to offer exceptional care and education to all of our families and make further improvements in the days, weeks and months ahead, I thank our hard working and dedicated staff team and the parents and carers who make this nursery what it is."
The nursery was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; outcomes for children; personal development, behaviour and welfare.
The school was told children benefit from a large range of learning experiences and have lots of opportunities to demonstrate their independence, creativity and decision making.
It also praised the staff, who "demonstrate strong teaching methods as they support, extend and guide children’s learning".
