A major thoroughfare in St Albans has reopened after it was closed for essential bridge strengthening work.
The Cottonmill Lane entrance to the Alban Way had been closed since July but reopened on Saturday – just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.
However some users, particular those who use the route regularly to access St Albans City station, have criticised what they perceive as a lack of “clear signage” showing alternative routes while the entrance has been closed.
The works are expected to be completed on September 8.
