A charity and DIY store teamed up to raise awareness for mental health issues on World Suicide Prevention Day.
Bunnings in Hatfield Road and St Albans mental health charity, The Counselling Foundation, held a "sausage sizzle" event at the store to mark the national awareness day and highlight the importance of the issues.
The charity was established in 1974 and asks for clients to pay what they can afford for counselling services, welcoming both self and GP referrals.
Chief executive for the charity, Robert Cuming, said: "It’s important our community knows we are here for them.
"We believe everyone should have someone to talk to, regardless of income and invite anyone that may be experiencing stress, worry or any other concern to contact us for a friendly and confidential conversation."
The centre, based in Lower Dagnall Road, also trains those who want to help people with mental health issues, to become counsellors themselves.
