A 35-year-old man has died after his car swerved off the road.
At 4am on March 11, a red Vauxhall Zafira had been travelling away from St Albans on Oaklands Lane, Smallford when the car left the road, hit a raised bank and came to rest against a tree.
Officers and the ambulance service attended but a short time later the driver, from Luton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed what happened or who believes they saw the vehicle in the area prior to the collision is asked to contact PC Paul Stanbridge from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Forensic Collision Investigation Unit on the 101 non-emergency number quoting ISR 136 of March 11.
