THE chairman of a St Albans planning committee had to leave while councillors considered an extension application - for her own home.
Cllr Frances Leonard was chairing the meeting of St Albans Council’s Planning Referrals Committee on Monday (May 14).
But – in line with council practice and Members’ code of conduct – Cllr Leonard left early so councillors could consider the extension to her Rose Walk home, in St Albans.
The application was for a single storey rear extension wih rooflights, following the demolition of a conservatory.
It was agreed by the council’s Planning Referrals Committee.
