It happened on Bank Holiday Monday
A woman who was taking photos was shoved into a lake in an "unprovoked" attack.
The woman was in Verulamium Park in St Albans on Bank Holiday Monday (May 7) when a man approached her from behind and pushed her into the water.
She sustained bruising to her arms while her DSLR camera was also damaged.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information.
PC Michael Wilson, investigating, said: “It is believed this was an unprovoked attack on a woman who was taking wildlife photos in the park that day.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference F1/18/2071."
