The final event from this summer’s Lively in Lydekker series will conclude with Music in Lydekker on Saturday, September 1 between 11am to 2pm.

It will see musicians from the area come to the park to play a range of Jazz classics and covers for the people of Harpenden.

The event, which is primarily aimed at adults (although families are welcome) opens with Miles and George Golding playing a duet of guitar and violin in the style of gypsy jazz.

The pair will be followed by the seven piece band Jazz Revisited who will be playing swinging jazz standards, rags and dance numbers for the remainder of the event.

Cllr David Heritage, Town Mayor of Harpenden, says: “It is a privilege to once again be hosting a community event in the gorgeous setting of Lydekker Park.

“This event will be a great source of entertainment for music lovers in Harpenden and is a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of the fantastic local talent we have here in the Town.”

Lydekker Park was recently awarded its second Green Flag Award, recognising it as one of the UK’s best parks and green spaces.

Throughout the free event, refreshments including Champaign will be available from The Bubble and Fizz Bar and other traders from the region.
