A cyclist has been taken to hospital with a head and leg injury following a crash.
Police were called to Dagger Lane near Elstree at 9.50am this morning after a collision between a car and a bicycle.
The man, aged in his 50s, sustained injuries and was taken to hospital. An air ambulance was and the cyclist was flown to the Royal London Hospital.
Dagger Lane was shut for around an hour-and-a-half so the air ambulance could land while emergency services dealt with the incident.
An East of England ambulance service spokesman said: "An ambulance, an ambulance officer vehicle and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to a road traffic collision at Dagger Lane, Elstree shortly before 9.45am this morning.
"A man was taken to The Royal London Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries."
