Two young people have been arrested over the attempted robbery of two cyclists.
But police have called for more information about the attacks, in which a man in his 50s was pushed over and kicked in Alban Way, St Albans, on September 26 between 4.45pm and 5.05pm.
A boy was attacked minutes earlier while cycling in the same location.
The man suffered bruising in the assault but the boy managed to get away.
Police have asked for this boy to come forward and help with the investigation.
After the attack, the group fled in the direction of St Albans city centre. Police believe the group may have then travelled to Watford using the Abbey Flyer train service.
A 16-year-old boy from St Albans and a 17-year-old boy from Birmingham have both been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.
They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should contact PC Sherisse Lee at sherisse.lee@herts.pnn.police.uk, quoting crime reference 41/40582/18.
