A charity auction has raised more than £800 for a hospital.
Businesses and residents came together at 96 Shenley Road in Borehamwood for a Macmillan Coffee afternoon, organised by BNI The Wood, a networking group.
The star auction prize was a bedroom makeover, donated by Marc Ziedman of Decoracers, and it was won with a winning bid of £425 by Marina Qattan of Owl Search.
But it is a cancer ward that will benefit with Ms Qattan donating the prize to a hospital.
Cancer survivor and Macmillan volunteer Julia Fenton Hodes shared a moving story of her experience.
BNI The Wood president Peter Lurie said: “What a great event raising over £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support organised by Claire Lobel and Katie Reed. Thank you for all your hard work and the great raffle prizes. Cakes and coffee galore. Well done all at The Wood.”
